Itinerary
Experience a short but rewarding safari in Lake Mburo National Park—Uganda’s smallest savannah park and home to zebras, impalas, elands, hippos, and rich birdlife. This itinerary includes a scenic drive from Kampala/Entebbe, a game drive through the park, a guided nature walk. Ideal for weekend getaways or as a stopover on longer journeys to southwestern Uganda.
Day 1 (Kampala to Kiruhura)
- At 7:00 AM, your guide will pick you up from Kampala/Entebbe and provide a briefing on your 2-day safari adventure.
- Depart for Kiruhura on a scenic 5-hour drive, with a stop in Kayabwe to take photos at the equator.
- Arrive at Mpogo Safari Lodge (Mid-range) or Mihingo Lodge (Luxury) in time for a delicious lunch.
- Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, then enjoy an evening community walk.
- Conclude the day with dinner, a campfire experience and a restful overnight stay.

Day 2 (Game Drive, Return to Kampala)
- Wake up to a beautiful African sunrise and enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off on a morning game drive through the park.
- After the game drive, begin the return journey to Kampala, stopping for lunch and souvenir shopping along the way.
- Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe by evening, bringing your safari adventure to a close.
